FYF Membership Policy
Face Your Fears Athletics Membership Policy
At Face Your Fears Athletics, we strive to provide a supportive and empowering environment for all our members. We understand that circumstances change, and there might be a need to cancel your membership. Our cancellation policy is designed to be straightforward and fair, respecting both the needs of our members and the operational requirements of our gym.
Cancellation Notice Requirement:
Members wishing to cancel their membership must provide a notice of cancellation at least 7 days prior to their next billing date. This notice period is necessary to ensure that the cancellation process is completed in a timely manner, preventing any further billing or charges to your account.
How to Submit a Cancellation Notice:
- In-Person Submission: If you prefer, you can also submit your cancellation notice in person at our gym. Please speak with a member of our staff and they will assist you with the beginning cancellation process. We will provide you with a link to our cancellation request form via our website fyfathletics.com.
- Email Submission: Members can email their cancellation request to ben@fyfathletics.com. Please include your full name and the effective date of cancellation in your email. We will send you a confirmation email once your request has been processed.
Processing Time:
Please allow up to 48 hours for your cancellation request to be processed. If you submit your request within the 7-day notice period but do not receive immediate confirmation, rest assured that your cancellation will be backdated to the date of your initial request, provided it was within the required notice period.
Late Cancellation:
If a cancellation notice is received less than 7 days before the renewal date, the membership will be renewed for the next billing cycle, and the cancellation will take effect at the end of that cycle. No refunds will be issued for late cancellations.
Refunds:
Face Your Fears Athletics does not offer refunds for any partial-month membership periods or for members who do not use the gym facilities. Members are encouraged to utilize their membership fully until the cancellation takes effect.
Rejoining:
Should you decide to rejoin Face Your Fears Athletics after cancelling your membership, we would be delighted to welcome you back. Please note that rejoining members may be subject to the current rates and terms of membership at the time of rejoining.

Membership Pause Policy
In addition to our cancellation policy, Face Your Fears Athletics offers a membership pause option for reoccurring memberships who need a temporary break due to circumstances such as travel, medical reasons, or personal challenges. This policy is designed to provide flexibility while ensuring that members can return to their fitness journey without hassle.
Eligibility and Conditions for Membership Pause:
- Members are eligible to pause their membership once per calendar year.
- The pause duration can be a maximum of 4 weeks.
- Must be a monthly reoccurring membership.
- Open-ended pauses are not allowed unless approved by Face Your Fears Athletics management.
- Members must request a membership pause at least 7 days before their next billing date to avoid charges for the upcoming billing cycle.
- The membership pause cannot be applied retroactively.
How to Request a Membership Pause:
- In-Person Request: Visit our gym and speak to a staff member to request a membership pause. Our staff will assist you with a link to our pause request form via our website fyfathletics.com..
- Email Request: Send an email to ben@fyfathletics.com with your full name and the requested start and end dates for your membership pause. We will process your request and confirm via email.
During the Pause Period:
- Access to the gym and its facilities will be suspended during the pause period.
- No membership fees will be charged for the duration of the pause.
- Attendance at any time during the paused period with automatically resume the current membership
- The pause period will not extend the current membership term; it will merely suspend the membership for the specified duration.
Resuming Membership:
- Membership will automatically resume at the end of the specified pause period, and billing will recommence according to the time delayed during the pause.
- Members do not need to take any action to reactivate their membership.
Important Notes:
- Membership pauses are subject to approval by Face Your Fears Athletics management. We reserve the right to request documentation supporting the reason for the pause (e.g., travel documents, medical notes).
- Abuse of the membership pause policy may result in denial of future pause requests.
